Recreational Dance Classes

This class is specifically designed for children aged 3-5 years old, providing a nurturing and playful environment where they can explore the world of dance.

In this class, children will develop their coordination, musicality, and gross motor skills through a variety of fun and engaging activities. They will learn basic dance concepts such as body awareness, rhythm, and spatial awareness, all while fostering their imagination and self-expression.

Our experienced instructors will guide the children through age-appropriate warm-ups, stretching exercises, and creative movement games. They will introduce basic dance techniques and steps, teaching the fundamentals of various dance styles such as ballet, jazz, and creative movement.

Through imaginative play and storytelling, children will have the opportunity to express themselves through dance and develop their own unique movement vocabulary. They will also be encouraged to work collaboratively with their peers, promoting social interaction and teamwork.

Pre-School Dance

In this class, young dancers will explore the fluidity and emotional depth of Contemporary and Lyrical dance styles. Contemporary dance combines elements of modern dance and ballet with fluid movements, emphasizing storytelling and self-expression. Lyrical dance focuses on interpreting music through graceful movements and conveying emotions with precision.

Through a combination of choreography and improvisation exercises, students will learn to connect their emotions with movement, while developing strength, flexibility, and body awareness. They will also enhance their technical foundation through the exploration of unique movement qualities and dynamic variations.

Contemporary/ Lyrical

In this class, dancers will learn the fundamentals of jazz technique while embracing the essence of its lively and upbeat nature. Through a combination of warm-ups, across-the-floor exercises, and choreography, dancers will develop their strength, flexibility, coordination, and musicality.

The class will focus on building a strong technical foundation by teaching proper body alignment, isolations, and jazz-specific movements such as turns, kicks, and leaps. Dancers will also explore different jazz styles, ranging from classic Broadway jazz to contemporary jazz, allowing for a diverse and well-rounded experience.

With a balance of structured technique and creative expression, dancers will have the opportunity to enhance their performance skills and individual artistry. They will learn to interpret music, connect with emotions, and infuse their own unique style into the choreography.

Jazz

Hip Hop

In this class, you'll learn a variety of foundational hip hop movements, techniques, and styles. Through engaging choreography and rhythmic exercises, you'll develop your coordination, musicality, and performance skills. Our experienced instructors will guide you step-by-step, breaking down the moves and ensuring you feel comfortable and confident.

From body isolations and popping to locking and breaking, you'll explore a range of hip hop styles and techniques. We'll also emphasize the importance of personal style and self-expression, encouraging you to infuse your own unique flair into the choreography.

The Beginner Tap Class is an engaging and fun-filled introduction to the world of tap dancing. Throughout the class, students will learn and practice basic tap vocabulary, steps, and combinations. They will be introduced to fundamental tap techniques such as shuffles, flaps, brushes, and ball changes. The class will also incorporate elements of musicality, including rhythm patterns, syncopation, and understanding how to create different sounds and rhythms with their taps.

In addition to technical skills, participants will engage in creative movement exercises and simple choreography to develop their performance abilities and expressiveness. No previous dance experience is required for this class!

Tap

This class is perfect for dancers looking to explore the dynamic and high-energy world of pom and kick routines. In this class, dancers will learn the art of synchronized movement, incorporating sharp, precise motions and impressive kicks. They will develop their technique, performance skills, and team dynamics through engaging choreography and drills.

With a focus on mastering the essential skills of pom and kick, dancers will learn how to execute clean and powerful arm motions, develop flexibility and strength for high kicks, and perfect their synchronization and timing. The class will also incorporate elements of showmanship and performance, encouraging dancers to exude confidence, enthusiasm, and stage presence. They will learn how to command the audience's attention through engaging facial expressions and captivating performance quality.
